Conserving Georgetown: Creating a Conservation Strategy
The Commonwealth Heritage Forum is offering a range of Commonwealth Training Champion positions in 2024. The Commonwealth Training Champion programme provides opportunities for early career heritage professionals to undertake placements with Commonwealth partners and organisations. The long-term goal is to build local capacity in heritage management and hands-on skills training.
In 2024, a total of seven Commonwealth Training Champions will be appointed across the Commonwealth in order to build local capacity in heritage management and hands-on skills training. Training Champions will undertake placements with local partners and organisations, receive career mentoring, and, when necessary, visit the UK for further training. Additional Training Champion opportunities will be offered across the Commonwealth over the next four years.
Each Training Champion will encompass a 12-month period of appointment. The Training Champions will include: a full-time (37.5 hours per week) work and research placement; competitive salary paid in local currency; and occasional travel to other Commonwealth countries and the United Kingdom (as needed).
The deadline for applications is Friday 23 August 2024. The successful applicant will start ASAP, not later than 20 September 2024.
More details on eligibility, funding, and the guidelines for application can be found here.
